About Us

Fawohodie Cultural Sustainability Center is a non-profit organization that provides hands-on education and experience in environmental and economic sustainability with a focus on the culture and history of Black and indigenous people of color to underprivileged and at-risk youth in grades 5-12 in South and Southwest Georgia. We are dedicated to promoting sustainability and preserving cultural heritage by offering educational programs and workshops geared towards empowering the youth to take an active role in shaping their future. Our team is made up of passionate and experienced individuals who share a common goal of creating a more sustainable and equitable future for all.

Fawohodie Cultural Sustainability Center's mission is to empower underprivileged and at-risk youth to become environmentally conscious, economically self-sufficient, and culturally aware individuals by providing hands-on education and experiences rooted in the heritage and wisdom of Black and indigenous people of color.
